Henry Paz, 28, has been arrested and charged in regard to a hit and run accident that occurred Sunday, July 26. The accident left one person dead, and another man critically injured.
At around 9:30 Paz lost control of his car and ran into two men at the bus stop at the intersection of West 16th Ave. and 49th Street. Jonathan Cordero, 24, has suffered a permanent disability with the loss of his left leg, and is scheduled to undergo surgery to save his right leg on Tuesday, July 28 at the Ryder Trauma Center. The other victim was thrown some distance and died at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.
Paz’s car was found less than a mile from the site of the accident where he parked it to call a tow truck because the damage to the vehicle made it impossible to operate.
