James Young

Jim is an experienced attorney and counselor who graduated from William Mitchell College of Law. With over 1,200 court appearances under his belt, Jim is well-versed in trials, motions, arbitrations, and mediations. He started Young Law in 2004 after gaining experience in various areas of law, including Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense, Business Law, Personal Injury, and Insurance Defense at firms throughout the Minneapolis metropolitan area. At Young Law, Jim shifted his focus to representing individuals and is known for his natural strategic approach and diligent advocacy. He involves his clients in every step of the legal process, providing fair representation along the way. Outside of law, Jim is passionate about spending time with his family and dogs, fishing, music, and baseball. He even volunteers as a baseball coach with his son, Andrew, and his legal assistant, Ethan.
