A 48 year-old Weston man has been arrested on charges of impersonating an FBI agent after he suffered a slip and fall accident in his home.
Daniel Cleary was extremely drunk when he slipped on his bathroom floor and broke his faucet on the way down, flooding the apartment. When the property manager showed up to help, he was met by a drunk Cleary wearing an FBI jacket and a gun, and waving a fake FBI at him.
Seeing over 30 fake badges of other branches of government floating in the wreckage, the property manager called 911. Cleary’s fake badges included ones for the Secret Service, U.S. Marshals, DEA, FAA, Department of Treasury, and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization.
He now faces over 3 years in jail for impersonating a federal agent, and 6 months for each fake badge that he owned, for a maximum of 17 years behind bars.
