Joel Moore, 21, was killed in an Orlando car accident on Thursday, June 18th. He was hit by a semi-truck when he tried to cross the street after talking to the driver of another vehicle in a turn lane. Moore was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
Reports indicate he stepped out into the street from between two other vehicles and didn’t see the oncoming truck because his view was obstructed and because he didn’t look both ways before crossing the street.
A man who works nearby claims that minor accidents and fender benders occur in this area very often. The northbound lanes of Orange Blossom Trail were closed for several hours.
