These are the benefits that are given to family members of employees (or to the person him/herself) who have worked long enough for a certain company and have now sustained a particular injury. If your job is covered by social security and your medical conditions prevent you from working for at least 12 months then you are eligible for Social Security Disability Benefits (SSDI).
