Last Friday, on August 7, a red jeep collided at around 3 pm with a silver pick-up truck on Sample rd. near I-95 and rolled over, coming to rest on the left side of the vehicle, trapping the driver behind the wheel.
The passenger was also trapped and suspended by their seatbelt. Firefighters responded quickly and cut through the vehicle’s roof to extract first the passenger, and then the driver.
The passenger didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries, but the driver was rushed away as a trauma alert and was presumably seriously injured.
The driver of the silver truck wasn’t injured, though the truck sustained some significant damage. Neither the names of the driver nor that of the passenger were released.
